As previously reported, Chris Jericho mentioned during an interview with Live Audio Wrestling that his deal with WWE is now on a month-to-month bases because of his close relationship with Vince McMahon and how well his storyline with Kevin Owens has taken off.
While Jericho is a top contender to win the upcoming 30-man battle royal at the Royal Rumble event to win an upcoming WWE Title shot, it’s believe that this likely wont happen because of his month-to-month deal with the company. Many feel that WWE would not put someone in that position that is not signed to a long-term deal. If Jericho was to sign a long-term deal with WWE, that could always change.
As we noted a couple week’s back, Jericho is not currently scheduled for next year’s WrestleMania event. Originally, Jericho was expected to take time off sometime at the end of this year to record his next Fozzy album, and go on tour. It remains to be unknown when he now plans to take time off, as he is currently having arguably one of the best runs of his career.
